What we collect
Waitlist: name, email, and phone number you submit, used to contact you about Charter OS.
Accounts: your name, email, and a salted hash of your password — never the password itself.
Your business data: the customers, bookings, vessels, documents, and messages you put into the service. Here we act as a processor on your behalf: your customers are your customers, and we use their data only to run the service for you.
What we don't do
We don’t sell personal data, we don’t run advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we don’t use your customers’ data to market to them. Cookies are limited to what sign-in and the product itself require.
Who processes data for us
Infrastructure and subprocessors we use to run the service: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (transactional email), Anthropic (AI drafting and diagnostics — content you submit to AI features is processed to generate the response), and Stripe/Telnyx where you connect your own accounts. Each processes data only as needed to provide their function.
Retention and deletion
Account and business data is kept while your account is active. When you leave, we export on request and delete production data within 30 days. Waitlist entries are deleted on request.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. If you’re a customer of a company that uses Charter OS, contact that company first — we’ll support their request.
